Yes, it was a small gathering for the 50th anniversary of our Stein Castle graduation on June 12th, 1952. We had a hard time contacting the class members, two-thirds are unaccounted for today; fewer were expected at the Las Vegas reunion of the Nurnberg Alumni Association in June 2002.
Meg Andreas had said of the last reunion she went to, "I kept trying to find the teenager I knew in the adult I was looking at." I understand the feeling, but I was looking forward to meeting the adult side of those I knew in Nurnberg at this reunion. And as I travel around this country, I'll try to get in touch with you when I can.
I've been in touch with Carl Peterson in the St. Petersburg FL area. I did find a while back the report of the death of David Peterson '54, his younger brother.
Nobody had sent any guesses as to who were the girls shown on our 1951-1952 Homecoming Queen and Court photo. So I've redone the page, identifying them as well as I am able, from notes on the back of one of the photos.
I've lost track of Joan Kohlmann O'Halloran - mail sent to her address in Hauppauge NY, as given in the last Alumni Association Directory, is being returned as "not deliverable as addressed, unable to forward".
I've come up a geographically-oriented web database for the members of our class and of the classes on two years either side of us. Please take a look at it, NAHS Classes of '50-'54 Locator. The link here opens the Locator on a separate page for your convenience. Is this a 'tool' that may be of value to you?
If you'd like to send a note about your adventures over the past years or a tale of life in Nurnberg, we'll update the website again. PLEASE send in your contribution to Pat Skelly.
