Give Back to the Parks
NSTT has an active "Give Back to the Parks" program made up of two components: taking donations at events and an annual park work day. At each event NSTT has a donation jar for walkers to contribute money to that particular park. At the end of the event, NSTT matches up to $50 of the money contributed by the walkers and writes a check to the park or its Friends group. Since 2005, NSTT and its walkers have contributed $8,460 dollars to the parks. The work day is usually scheduled at a metro area State Park where the club goes out and helps by picking up trash, clearing fallen branches from trails, planting seedlings, or whatever task will help each particular park.

Loop ‘d Loops!
That’s right ... NSTT is “loopy over loops!” We like our walkers to be within a safe distance for help if ever needed. Our multi-loop trail system makes it easier for everyone to participate in our events, whether young or old, able or not so able.Don't like to walk alone?
Just ask mention at the registration desk that you’d like a walking partner! We want you to enjoy our events ... so don’t be shy!
