h y J o i n N S T T ?If we're going to continue offering the folkssport program in Minnesota State Parks we need plenty of help. Our small Board of Directors cannot do all the work needed to put on these events each year. Everyone who enjoys participating should consider joining us to make it happen.We want people to join us who:
- believe our state parks are a great place for folkssports
- believe that folkssports are a great way to support our state parks
- are willing to commit to work for NSTT state park events
- will take an active part in making this club succeed
- want to see the program meet the challenge of providing folkssport events in this millennium.
Every club member is expected to fulfill some work commitment. (See the Membership Application form.) Not every club offers that opportunity! We try hard to place members in a working situation that uses their skills and interests and where they are comfortable. There are so many ways you can help support our events--anyone can do something! Then no one will have to do everything.
Members also get our newsletter, Ramblings, with updates on upcoming events and a look at past events.
Anyone who is willing to help, not just pay dues, will be accepted for membership. We have options for:
- individuals
- family groups (up to two adults and dependent children)
- business sponsors
If you're not afraid to get involved, make a commitment, and work alongside us, then we want YOU as a member of the NorthStar Trail Travelers!
Pick up a Membership Application form at our next event, fill it out and leave it with your dues.If you have some questions as to how you can fit in and what you can do to help, besides working at events, call one of the Board members and talk with them. They'll be happy to work with you to see that your area of expertise or interest is utilized to make this club successful.
