November 8, 1998 was the historic day that the NorthStar Trail Travelers voted to become a membership club. After seemingly unending meetings throughout 1998, the organizing committee voted to charter the club and elect officers.

This group:

  • is dedicated to providing quality waling experiences in Minnesota State Parks
  • is dedicated to providing the very best in folkssporting events
  • is dedicated to providing new, interesting and unique awards, made in Minnesota
  • is a working club ("ask not what your club can do for you; ask rather what you can do for your club")

This club wants to make events fun by providing avenues for social interaction with other participants. We'll do that through various means, from providing food at some events, to devising two-loop trails with the checkpoint at the start/finish area so walkers can meet each other coming and going to the trails.

We are proud of our parks and our state. We want to encourage everyone to not just drive to a park and do our walks...we want you to see all the surrounding beauty and enjoy the best that Minnesota has to offer!

See you on the trails!
