Nathan Stinson Photography & Fine Art

Nathan Forrest Stinson
“Quantum Impressionist” 

The artistic photographic Fine Art work of Nathan Forrest Stinson presents light in a new perspective. An interest in quantum physics (the theories of time and space) fostered his development of a unique photographic technique that captures and translates quantum theory into the visual medium of photography.

Nathan’s work demonstrates a new perspective for the comprehension of physics that goes beyond the normal concepts to the vibrational core of the theory itself. The moiré effect and use of multiple exposures of light particles on film ignites the imagination as it presents the essential ideas of wave particle duality. This forms the conceptual origins of Nathan’s work.

Each image reveals the rhythm and organization of multiple light sources, making a phrase, suitable for setting to music, i.e.: “Light Tree”, shown below. In this image, lights of blues, yellows and red dance across the field to their own music. Nathan’s work is typified by these rhythmic impressions of light – they are “photonic melodies”  in space/time.
