Welcome graphic

I'm a versatile musician with an eclectic taste for many genre, as well as an accomplished industrial designer, inventor, and business owner. I grew up in a musical household filled with German folk and classical music, as well as sixties rock & roll. I began learning my first instrument as a teenager when a friend gave me a guitar. I soon established a formidable repertoire of my favorite popular music.

I quickly realized that I needed formal instruction, and began studying with Tom Runyan, a very accomplished jazz and classical guitarist. I also began private piano lessons and enrolled at Pasadena City College, where I completed two years of intensive music theory, history, composition, and performance courses. I later studied with the virtuoso classical guitarist Vincent Macaluso and learned jazz guitar arranging from Howard Heitmeyer.

I then developed a taste for folk and bluegrass music, and began frequenting festivals to learn this style. My musical ambitions were postponed by my desire to raise a family on a steady income, but I have recently acquired some recording and mixing equipment. I plan to begin recording many traditional classical works, my own jazz guitar arrangements, and my own compositions.

Below are the links to download my music from Broadjam. You may also listen to the songs and view the credits, lyrics, and other details. All my earnings ($.80 per song) from the sale of the songs below will be donated to Pennies for Peace to help build schools in Pakistan and Afghanistan, giving the people there an alternative to the Wahabi Madrassas that teach their children jihad, while respecting their religion and culture.

News

My protest song "Hey George" appeared as a new entry on Neil Young’s "Living with War Today" list of top protest songs around 12/28/06, starting at approximately number 1050, and climbing to number 35 by 2/19/07.  "Will We Ever Learn"  appeared as the new entry on 7/23/07 and also quickly climbed upward.  Both have consistantly remained somewhere between the high teens and the forities since then. Check out this great site by following the link shown in my list of favorite sites below.
