Recipes for Beef

      • Ginger beef

      Ingredients: for 2 servings

      6 slices beef (See hint below.)
      2 tablespoons soy souce
      2 teaspoons suger
      1 tablespoon sake
      1 tablespoon grated fresh ginger
      1 teaspoon sesame seeds
      a pinch of salt

      How to make it...
       

      1. Make a marinade with all ingredients except beef.
      2. Marinate beef for 15 minutes.
      3. Saute beef over high heat then reduce to medium heat. Since the beef is thinly sliced, it should be done in a very short time.

      Hint--Japanese markets sell large pieces of beef thinly sliced, which yield the best results. At other markets, you will have to ask the butcher to slice a cut of beef for you.
