American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAD)
ASAM is the nation's medical specialty society dedicated to educating physicians
and improving the treatment of individuals suffering from alcoholism and other addiction.
US HHS Center for Substance Abuse Treatment (CSAT)
The Center for Substance Abuse Treatment (CSAT) of the Substance Abuse and Mental
Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), was created in October 1992
with a congressional mandate to expand the availability of effective treatment and recovery services for alcohol and drug
problems.
National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA)
NIDA is part of the National Institutes of Health (NIH). Their mission is to lead
the Nation in bringing the power of science to bear on drug abuse and addiction.
Substance Abuse & Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA)
SAMHSA's mission is to build resilience and facilitate recovery for people with
or at risk for substance abuse and mental illness. It is part of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
