Rosie's Home Page
Rosie is an incredible cat. I got to know her after her show career, and found her incredibly shy. I think the difficulty was with the cysts and non-absorbed kitten the vet found when she was spayed - she must have lived in a lot of discomfort. Rosie is the ultimate California pure bred pet - she has her own Valium prescription. It is supposed to make grooming her easier. But, now that you mention it, the vet didn't tell me - do I give the pill to her, or do *I* take it myself before washing or grooming her?

Once Rosie Granded, she went on to take honors in CFA, winning a Regional Title of Best Lilac Solid Persian for the 1997 - 1998 show season. Click the thumbnail to the right to see her Regional Award Certificate.

Rosie took Region by storm, it was only natural that she would next become
a National Winner. You will find her in t
he
1999 CFA Yearbook, as the Nation Winner for Best Lilac Solid Persian.

What's next
for Rosie? Well, she is learning to live in a cushioned, upholstered and
carpeted environment. She is pigging out on
Royal Canin Persian 30 (Almond
11) and has me totally conned into providing chips as a diet supplement
(although she prefers Lays Classic, Nacho Cheesier Doritos will do in a pinch!)
Rosie is now eligible to be shown as a Premier. I know I can't give her the show career Martha gave her, but I think that Martha would be pleased if we did a show or two, like Fiesta City Cat Club or a show where her favorite judges were presiding. But that will depend on Rose, and how she relaxes into life as a house pet. She is still jumpy, but gets a little better every day.
