Martha Kohlmeyer

Odin Persians

My friend Martha passed away Saturday, March 15, 2003.   She fought a good fight against cancer for many years.

Martha loved cats.  She founded Odin Persians, her cattery, and devoted herself to improving the breed, and developing the Lilac Solid color.  She had great success with her breeding program, and loved showing her prized "kids."   There is a beautiful tribute to her at  .

You can view her Persian and Himalayan database at CatPedigrees.com .

.

I found this picture of Martha on her camera.   This is how I want to remember Martha.  Poised and composed.  Ready to explore new territory.

Ready as always to tackle life.

Two of her kitties have joined  us, Odin Stop and Smell the Roses, and Odin Quantum Leap.  See our Kitty page in progress.

Martha loved to travel.  Cruising on the Crystal Cruise Line was her preferred way to go.  She loved taking  digital photographs - this is an outstanding photo she took of the Sydney Opera House.

Martha loved ship board life.  She found a peace and happiness there that she never quite seemed to find on land.

Martha was also a great fan of the WNBA.  She loved the Sparks.   She always had season tickets to see the Sparks play.  Click the thumbnail to see Martha on the 2002 Sparks schedule in detail.

Martha will be sorely missed.
