NICHOLAS ARKIMOVICH
P H O T O G R A P H I C ...A R T I S T

Nicholas Arkimovich first started experimenting with photography in 1984, shortly after finishing studies at the University of Southern California's School of Cinema/Television. Indulging in a life-long passion for sensitively done fine-art nudes, he began taking pictures of his soon-to-be favorite model, Joanne. Returning to USC for advanced courses in photography, he went on to manage the Cinema School's photo lab, teach classes, and establish himself as an emerging artist.

In 1995, Mr. Arkimovich struck out on his own as a full-time photographer. His commercial specialties include small-product, food, and portraiturefor both advertising and editorial clients. He also continues work on his personal art photography; with a special emphasis on the Lava and Exotic Dancer projects.

When not busy behind the camera or in the darkroom, Nik enjoys camping, star-gazing, and flying sailplanes. An avid reader of almost anything and everything, he also has a strong background in art and classical literature.

Nicholas Arkimovich lives in southern California with his wife, Joanne, and their three cats. His studio is located in Pasadena, just outside the popular Old Town district.
