Box Portraits  and TIME coverage of "Sight Unseen"
 
Douglas curated an exhibition at the University of California , Riverside Museum of Photography, featuring blind and sight impaired artists. Seeing With Photography is honored to be represented in this very popular show. See TIME article and slideshow at TIME.com links at the contact page..
A few of my box portraits.These box images boil down photography to simplicity. A cardboard box, a cheap magnifying glass lens taped at one end, a focusing string cut so a sight impaired or blind user can adjust the sitter.
