After graduation from Norwin, I attended nursing school and became an RN in 1967 and have had a very interesting and diverse nursing career.  In 1975 I married a career naval officer in Charleston, S.C.  Since that point on, we have relocated about every 18 months..living in Virginia, Rhode Island, California, Hawaii, Guam, and Japan.  I have also had the good fortune to visit my husband's ships in various countries such as Spain, the Philippines, Hong Kong, Singapore, Thailand, and Austrailia.  Needless to say, I have learned a lot and enjoyed my travels.  We retired in 1996 to my husband's hometown of Hannibal, Missouri

I currently reside in Buellton California, with my third husband of 5 years.   I lost my second husband to cancer in 1995.
I have been here since 1988, when I left Pa.
I often go back to N. Huntingdon though because all of my kids and grand children are in that part of the country.  It is always good to see old friends when I go back. Looking forward to my trip out there this summer.

Any given Saturday of the year you will find Suella,
husband Frank and trusty dog Brandy aboard the Panacea.
Atlantic Ocean, Gulf of Mexico, lake, river..it doesn't matter,
as long as they can float and fish.
First photo shows Suella with
40" Wahoo caught July 2007.
Second photo taken at Ponce Inlet,
New Smyrna Beach.  The last is called "hot dog"
a very hot day on the ocean
but Brandy managed
to find some shade.
Brandy is the only member
 of the Carnevale
family that will venture out
on the ocean
with Suella and Frank.

I currently reside in Moon Township with my husband Ken, three sons and two daughters.

As I was reviewing the Memorial site I was surprised and saddened to see how many of our classmates have passed away. When we were young most of us did not think about dying but as we have aged it has become, for all of us, the reality that it is.

I wanted to take this opportunity to share an experience I had in 1972. At this time I was searching for the real meaning of life. Ken and I were on the verge of divorce and I was very unhappy. One night Ken came home from a business trip and told me he had asked Jesus into his heart. He also told me that Christ had made him a new person and that he was assured of going to Heaven when he died. This, of course, came as a shock.

He explained the Way of salvation to me according to the Bible; in particular, that Jesus had said, “You must be born again to see the kingdom of God.” I could not understand this, so for ten days I watched how he acted. He had peace, joy and above all else; he loved me and our three children unlike before. I still did not understand how all this happened but I knew he had what I had been searching for, someone to love me unconditionally.

On July 2, 1972 I made the decision to invite Jesus Christ into my heart to be my personal Lord and Savior. That was the beginning of a wonderful journey of life with my Lord. He gave us a new marriage, two more children and a peace that passes all understanding. There's so much more but space doesn't allow me to write about it.

I felt compelled to share this with all of you because the Bible tells us that death awaits every person and after death comes the judgment.

Beyond a doubt I know I will be with Jesus when I die because I have put my trust and faith in Him and Him alone. There is only one way to the Father in Heaven and that way is through Jesus, the Son.

I encourage each of you to be prepared for death by inviting Christ into your hearts. Thank you and God bless you.
