The demographic profile information contained herein has been extracted from Census 2000 data files applicable to Zip code 19073 as delineated by the boundaries shown in the following image:

The total population is 16,203, consisting of 7,608 males and 8,595 females. The median age is 44.7 years. The majority (95.9%) are of the white race. The major ancestries being English (17.2%), German (19.0%), Irish (31.0%), and Italian (19.2%) in the 14,185 reported cases.

Educational attainment levels of those 25 years and over (11,715) are greater than the national averages. There are 10,855 high school graduates or higher (92.7% vs. 80.4% U.S.) and 3,395 with bachelor's degrees or higher (48.5% vs. 24.4% U.S.).

Occupations of the employed civilian population 16 years and older (7,157) are reported as 3,674 (51.3%) in Management, professional, and related occupations, 652 (9.1%) in Service occupations, 1,991 (27.8%) in Sales and office occupations, 29 (0.4%) in Farming, fishing, and forestry occupations, 442 (6.2%) in Construction, extraction, and maintenance occupations, and 369 (5.2%) in Production, transportation, and material moving occupations.

The median family income is $90,372 (vs. $50,046 U.S.) and the per capita income is $43,829 (vs. $21,857 U.S.).  

A total of 6,574 housing units were reported with 6,362 of these being occupied. Of these 6,362 units, 5,154 were owner-occupied. The majority of units reported (64.8%) had estimated values between the ranges of $150,000 and $399,999. The median value is $243,200.
