I was born and raised in northeast Philadelphia in a section called Mayfair.
At the tender age of 15 years my parents moved our family to the western
suburbs into a new white-brick house on Surrey Drive in Newtown Square. When
they decided to move back to Philly in 1956, I had the opportunity and good
fortune to stay with the Eachus family, with whom I remained until I was
married in 1960. The vocation of Manufacturing Engineering introduced me to
the world of computers back in 1969 and I've been working with them ever
since. In 1979, I accepted a job with an aerospace company in Orlando,
Florida, and moved to Lake Mary, which is located about 15 miles northeast of
the city. I opted for early retirement from the company in 1995. Currently I
reside in The Villages in Sumter County.

| I originally added a 'live' WebCam image feature using a Kodak DVC323 Digital Video Camera and Spycam software, but now both have been replaced by a Logitech 4000 Pro camera with its own software. The images are updated now and then while I'm online during the daytime. Occasionally the room may be empty or some cats may appear in the image...that's just 'Shadow' or 'Callie' walking around my computer table and checking the equipment. The constant sun glare in the background is due to the eastern exposure of this room. It's bright and sunny most of the time here if Florida...something that's very easy to get used to. |
