Our Health District is a full time health department who takes care of the health needs for the residents of Newtown, theBorough of Newtown, Roxbury, and Bridgewater.  Our district employs one Director of Health, a Medical Advisor, an Administrative Assistant, a Senior Sanitarian, two Assistant Sanitarians, a Food Service Inspector, and an Emergency Preparedness Consultant.

Health Fair

Yearly our office, in conjunction with the Newtown VNA and other community members, sponsors a Health Fair.  It offers free health screenings and lots of useful information about keeping you and your family healthy.  There are also many demonstrations including those from our Emergency Services.  Please look for more information on the fair and stop by for some valuable tips.
 
This year's fair was a great success.  Thanks to everyone who helped out at the fair.  A big thanks to all of our informative vendors and of course to the public who came out!  We hope to see you next year!

Location and Hours

Our office is located at 31 Pecks Lane in Newtown (Off of Route 25).  We are located in the old Dupont/Kendo building.  Follow the blue signs along Route 25 to our office.  We are open Monday through Friday (except for legal holidays) from 8am to 4:30pm.  Please feel free to call us, stop by, or e-mail for more information.
