Williamsburg, Virginia

Radio Host - 2002

Hosted a Sunday morning show to offer prayer and counseling to those who believed in the power of prayer and the reassurance of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

 

U.S. Department of Commerce - Census 2000 (Religious Community Committee)

Co-Chair - 2000

Worked closely with grass root religious organizations to encourage the residents of Ward-8  to participate and learn the importance of being counted in the Census 2000.  Served in the religious community in Southeast Washington, DC.

 

Complete Count Committee – Washington, District of Columbia

Board Member - 1999

Appointed by Mayor Anthony Williams to serve on the board to assist in providing programs to residents of Washington, DC that educate them about the benefits and importance of being counted in the U.S. Census 2000.

 

Return from Addiction Drug Program Coalition for the Homeless

Board Member - 1993

Served to assist residents who were in recovery and to offer them resources to enhance life skills and self-sufficiency as residents returning from many addictions.

 

Advisory Task Force on Homelessness Washington, DC

Board Member - 1992

Appointed by former Mayor Sharon Pratt Kelly to serve on the committee to assist the homeless in becoming self-sufficient.

 

Mentors and Kids Exchange (M.A.K.E.)

Vice-President / Manager - 1992

Created and managed programs that discouraged drug abuse in the lives of at-risk youth.

 

WUST Radio Station (1120 AM)

Radio Host - 1991

Produced a weekly inspirational radio show that was geared toward the needy and those who were depressed and mentally challenged.

 

Orange Hat Coalition (Anti-Drug Program)

Board Member - 1990

Served to help reduce crime among adults and at-risk youth in the community.
