And Other Poems
By William Ellery Leonard
Presentation Copy, Inscribed by the Author
12 mo. Green, paper covered boards, with a blind-stamped candelabra. The spine has a tan title label. No dust jacket. Presentation copy, inscribed by the author. Published by B. W. Huebsch in 1920. Fisrt edition. 84 pages. The first free endpage has a pasted on piece of paper that reads:
"This copy of The Lynching Bee to my friend ... from the author, who used to beat her at chess, ride a bicycle with her in in the Madison suburbs, and instruct her in the works of Geoffrey Chaucer - William Ellery Leonard, December, 1920."
Condition: Good minus. Bumped and rubbed; the top of the spine is chipped. The copyright page is torn and missing sections where the piece of paper that has the author's signature was originally placed, and later removed to the ffep. An outline clearly remains that matches the paper's size exactly. The texture is very good; the blindstamping is crisp. The binding is mostly tight and square; the hinges are strong. Other than noted, the interior is near fine; the pages are clean.
Price: $2,000.00 for all ten books.
