Create a Panoramic Digital Image
Using the Stitch MethodCreating a stitched image using graphics software like Corel Photo-Paint is really a very easy process.
This is a full sized stitched image.

First the original images were cropped and resampled. Then, one image was stitched to another image using the stitch tool in Corel PhotoPaint. The seam line was easily disguised by using the cloning tool and sharpening the edges of the cloned area with the sharpen tool.
To create a wider panoramic image, a section of one image was cropped, resampled, flipped horizontally, sharpened to match the previously stitched image and then stitched to the earlier stitched image. A Kodak photo filter was used to adjust the exposure (brightness) of the final image. The image was then made into an object and a drop shadow was added. The final image was saved as a JPEG (JPG). (The working images were saved as CPTs, PhotoPaint's native format.)
This is a cropped and horizontally flipped version of the image to its right.

This is an original image that has been cropped. This image and the one to its left required the use of the cloning and sharpening tools to disguise the unrealistic seam created by stitching.
By manipulating and stitching the images again(or adding new images), one could easily create a larger panorama. Or it could also become a virtual reality panoramic image. The possibilities are endless... give it a whirl using your own images!
