Chapter Meetings & Activities .
The majority of our chapter's members reside in the Arlington, Alexandria, Mount Vernon, and Springfield areas of Northern Virginia. Monthly meetings are held at various locations during the non-summer season, except for December when we meet at Woodlawn Plantation, Nelly Custis's former home. Meetings start at 10:00am with an informal reception period followed by a guest speaker presentation on a topic related to the National Society's objectives (Patriotism, Historic Preservation, & Education) and conclude with discussion of official business. Other local, state, and national-level DAR activities throughout the year may also interest our members. . |
