The Poems on Purpose website carries a moderate load of images, and at least in some instances the viewing experience will be best if these images were preloaded into your browser cache rather than waiting till the actual page where they are presented is selected, and then having to wait. However with a 56K modem connection, preloading might take as much as five minutes to complete. And that's too long to stare at a blank first page, thus my solution here.

Cache Preloading is a website technique for forcing image data to be loaded into your browser's local storage cache before the images are even asked to be displayed. As a result, images appear near instantly when you actually go to the pages where they are displayed.

Option  TWO        Preload ONLY the primary Poetry, Info & Links page images.  (~500K)


Option THREE     Preload ONLY to read the primary indexed Poetry itself.  (~100K)
