Falling through grace.
One, of Five Healing Poems
After Falling.
Dear Love, whispers beneath desire go nameless.
Unspoken days circle past, while waiting-skies
look within my eyes, find me seeking horizon's gate,
"Beyond this line there be dragons."
What next cloud towering golden above gray
will appear with unexpected delight.
Heaven's promise given,
some take years to come home.
Clouds make light dreams of sun's shadows.
Blessings come like sunshine, like rain.
Blessings all.
The soft stories of your skin, that I adore,
the poems written into your flesh, some few
lyrics that I have added to your song.
Your touch entwines with my sense of home-coming.
Sun-bright afternoon, earth rolls beneath
waves of yellow hair, the screen door squeals
and slams, as I squint into bright blue,
heaven's eyes gaze down, dreaming me.
Promise-waiting, old love's sun-colored face
that I'd thought passed me by. Unexpected caring.
I never imagined finding you in a hundred life-times,
never thought that losing your touch would arrive so
soon. Heart-beats measured our embrace.
Time has no regrets.
Tears eager to surrender their diamond domain
to merest hint of you, redeem faithful dreams.
I will open my eyes into brightness,
splashed white-waiting-to-be upon my kiss.
Heart's dreams open wings rise above spirit,
gossamer-lace intent given to flight.
A gift into heaven begins here, on these lips.
What dreams does star-dust dream?
Eucalyptus wind stirred by monarch wings.
The scent of sea-salt sand between your toes.
The spectacle of your silent fire-blue eyes.
I carried the dream of dreaming in my hands,
kept more of it still in my pockets. Rumors
said, dreams let free into sky and cloud
return laden by golden prayers, drops raining,
like hope become joy, tempered within heart.
I came to the city seeking my own heart redeemed.
Now, like some tin-man I know I've found my heart
because I can feel it's breaking.
Looking past tears like rain-about-to-be, I stand
hours guard on night's balcony waiting for the world's
changing to change again. Bring faith home again.
Passing on the street, will your eyes meet mine?
Will you love me another sweet moment, till
one more breeze blows past sight of this dream?
