This is our Sony SLV-595HF VHS Player / Recorder.

This item has been removed from our Home Theater System. It was replaced with a Mitsubishi VHS.  We've looked into the D-VHS technology and considered purchasing the JVC HM-DH30000 D-VHS or the Mitsubishi HS-HD2000U.  The problem we are faced with here is that VHS technology is hanging by a thread and may be outta here any day.  We hear talk about a new 'Blue' DVD technology that is capable or recording HD content.  With the addition of the Dish Network DVR-921 we will at least have 25 hours of HD recording or 180 hours of standard recording.  I think that after we catch up with the other items we purchased, we'll look into a Digital VHS or DVD Recorder.

This is our XBox.  It's been hacked!  Below the XBox is our Monster Cable HTS-5100 Line Conditioner.

Got XBox?  Get Hacked!  Modifying my XBox has been the only way to go.  I had it done by a 'sharp' college guy.  It was worth every penny of the $160.00 I paid to have it modified.  Now I don't have to worry about losing my games.  I can load 30 to 40 games directly onto the 120 Gigabyte Hard Drive.  I currently have 24 games loaded and still have over 48GB available.  I can also load music, video and photos.  The BIG disappointment I have with my XBox modification is that I don't have the proper DVD Player installed in the XBox to simply view and/or load CD-Rs.  I understand I need to use DVD+/-Rs to view photos and listen to music.  Apparently some XBoxes come with a better DVD player that will allow direct use of CD'Rs.  I think I'll be on the look-out for another XBox with the correct DVD player installed.  After researching this a bit, I found that it is best to get the soldered 'modification' rather than the 'screw-down' chip.  The person who did my XBox modification did it all, including making his own chip to solder into my XBox.  Illegal?  Anti-DCMA?  Will the RIAA come after me?  I hardly think so.  I am glad that I can put my games on my XBox and then store the original games in a closet.  Now if it gets ripped off, I'll still have the hundreds of dollars worth of games.  We got our XBox from Costco, Bellingham.

We purchased our Monster Power HTS-5100 directly from Monster Cable from an employee we know who works there.  All of the Home Theater components hook into the HTS-5100.  The HTS-5100 conditions the voltage going to the Home Theater components.  The HTS-5100 is plugged into the Monster Cable AVS-2000.
