MARTHA ROSLER
Rosler is our Raoul Hausmann, John Heartfield, or Hannah Höch: a Dada-tinged artist whose work rages at contemporary geopolitics. The best-known work in the forty years of photographed collages here is the series "Bringing the War Home: House Beautiful" (1967–72), which combines Vietnam War photojournalism with cutouts from contemporary home-design magazines. The cushy prosperity of postwar America is mixed to disturbing effect with images of soldiers, corpses, and wounded Vietnamese. She's revived this strategy to fit the current conflict, with women in chadors and soldiers in desert camouflage traipsing through the elegant landscapes and interiors of the Wallpaper and Architectural Digest set. Through Jan. 8. (Gorney, Bravin, and Lee, 534 W. 26th St. 212-352-8372.)
