| STEVE EDWARD FUGATE, a native of Buffalo, New York, was
born on August 17, 1965. Alifelong resident of Niagara Falls, New York,
he attended Gaskill Junior High. After completing Junior High, he went
on to High School at Trott Vocational High School. He majored in Auto Mechanics.
Steve’s work experience prior to leaving for the United States Army included
assisting customers at Rizzo-Ricotta Office Products from January 1979
until September 1981.
He also worked in maintenance with the Niagara Falls Police Department maintaining Police Vehicles. Among his other diversified jobs were the Child World Toy Store, Club Joys and the Rainbow Exxon service station all located in Niagara Falls, New York. Steve enlisted into the United States Army delayed entry program while in his senior year with planned training from the Army in Auto Mechanics after completing basic training. He departed for active duty on November 13th, 1984 and reported for basic training at Fort Dix, New Jersey. Among his awards during basic training he received two Marksman Badges, one of which was with the M-16 rifle. After graduating from basic training, he attended the vehicle mechanics school. On May 21, 1985 he was discharged honorably for medical reasons. He then moved to Ft. Lauderdale, Florida., and has since returned to Niagara Falls Steve was born at Buffalo Memorial Hospital, Buffalo, New York, the son of Letha Fugate of Niagara Falls, New York and Edward Clifton Reese. He was married to the former Karen Elizabeth Patrick of Youngstown, New York. They had one daughter, Jessica Fawn Fugate. Steve later became the father of a son, Steve Edward Fugate, Jr. His sisters and brother are: Yvonne Georgette Reese, deceased, Courtney Elizabeth Reese, deceased, Kelsey Jae Reese and Paul Edward Jesse Reese. |
