my Conversational Japanese final: a Shinesman conversation.

Denwa de.
Hidaka: Moshi moshi.  Kasahara-san no otaku desu ka?
Kasahara: Hai, sou desu.
Hidaka: Aa, konnichiwa.  Hidaka desu.
Kasahara: Aa, Hidaka-san, konnichiwa.  Hisashiburi desu ne.
Hidaka: Ee, hisashiburi.  Ashita hima desu ka?
Kasahara: Gogo san-ji kara.
Hidaka: Issho ni kaimono ni ikimasen ka?
Kasahara: Ii desu ne.  Doko ni?
Hidaka: ABC no depaato desu.  Raishuu no getsuyoubi wa Yamadera-san
no tanjoubi desu.
Kasahara: Hontou?  Shirimasen deshita.  Ja, gogo san-ji-han goro
minami no iriguchi no mae de aimashou?
Hidaka: Ee.  Ja, ashita ne.
Kasahara: Ashita ne.

Depaato de.
Kasahara: Hidaka-san wa Yamadera-san ni nani wo agemasu ka?
Hidaka: Ja, koko wa tokeiya desu ne?  Tokei wo kau kamoshiremasen.
Kasahara: Aa, tokei wa ii desu ne.  Yamadera-san wa yoku osoi
desu kara ne.  Kono tokei no naka dewa, dore ga ichiban ii to
omoimasu?
Hidaka: Saa, wakarimasen ne.  Kore wa dou?
Kasahara: Eeto... kirei desu ga... chotto chisai desu ne....
Hidaka: Sou ne.
Kasahara: Ano tokei no hou ga mou chotto ookii desu ne.
Hidaka: Ee, ookii desu.  Demo amari kirei ja nai desu ne.
Kasahara: Sou... aa!  Sono tokei wo mite kudasai.
Hidaka: Waa, kirei!  Kore wa kanpeki desu!  Ge...!
Kasahara: Kanpeki, desu kedo takai....
Hidaka: Hai... takai desu.  Demo... Yamadera-san no tanjoubi wa
ichinen ni ikkai dake desu!
Kasahara: Hidaka-san wa Yamadera-san ga suki desu ne.
Hidaka: Urusai desu!

Okashi-ya de.
Kasahara: Ii tokei desu ne.
Hidaka: Yamadera-san wa kore ga suki desu kana....
Kasahara: Shimpai shinaide.  Kare wa zettai ni are wo suki!  Hidaka-san
wa itsumo shimpai wo shimasu.Tabete kudasai!
Hidaka: Hai, hai.  Nnn, kono aisu wa oishii desu!  Kasahara-san
no keeki wa?
Kasahara: Kore mo oishii desu.  Choco ga itsumo oishii desu ne.
Hidaka: Sou, sou.  Sore ja, Matsumoto-san wa?
Kasahara: Matsumoto-kun wa genki desu.
Hidaka: Anta futari ga deeto wo shimasen ka?
Kasahara: Hidaka-san!!
Hidaka: Nn?
Kasahara: ...Hai.  Deeto wo shimasu.
Hidaka: Wai!  Omedetou gozaimasu, Kasahara-san!
Kasahara: Arigatou gozaimasu, Hidaka-san.



Shinesman at the movies:

Hope and Hiroya are watching a movie at the Matsumoto's.  Their hands
meet in the popcorn bowl....

*ahem*
*derails train of thought, causing much yaoi carnage*

What would they be watching?

Casablanca: at the end of the movie, both of them are crying, but Hope
is vehemently denying that he is crying.

The Princess Bride: a spontaneous duel breaks out over who gets to be
The Man In Black.

Shall We Dance?: Hiroya ends up teaching Hope the rudimentary steps of a
waltz.

Star Wars-A New Hope: Hope gripes about the logistical impossibilities
within the movie ("Explosions in space?!") but Hiroya catches that he
really did like the movie. ("I knew you would, Sasaki-kun!")

Mary Poppins: Hope secretly takes up singing in the shower about a
spoonful of sugar.

The Greatman feature film (of course!): both end up cheering at the end,
though Hope does grumble a bit about the misunderstood, misrepresented
aliens who failed to take over the Earth.

Any additions? ^^  (I ruled out The Full Monty, as I think that's more
of Alec's taste in films than Hope's.)

My Fair Lady: cast Hope as Ms. Doolittle, Matsumoto as Professor Higgins, 
and Sekito as Colonel Pickering. <eg>



Shinesman on a game show:
(apparently in Japan there is a gameshow which takes drunken salarymen and 
has them call their friends, asking questions, at obscene hours of the 
morning...)

Matsumoto: Shasaki-cha~n *hic* how many... how many kilometersh is it from 
Earth to the shun?

Sasaki: You called me at 3am and disturbed by beauty rest for THAT?
