Glove Knitting is a 36 page all-color self-published booklet that contains over 50 photos, diagrams, and charts including a photo gallery of gloves that do not fit. This booklet discusses the various types of thumb treatments, fingertip shaping, and how to deal with holes that can occur between the fingers.

Two patterns are included. The Colorblock gloves knit from Knitpick's Palette wool yarn have a peasant thumb with rounded fingertips. Two sizes are included: Women's Small and Women's Large.

The Geometric Gloves use a sore thumb gusset and have tapered fingertips. The Men's Large version of these gloves are knit from Elann's Devon yarn and the Women's Medium version use Knitpick's Palette.

Also included is a list of other glove knitting resources and suppliers of hard-to-find glove needles. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of this booklet go to nonprofit rabbit rescue. In 2007 over $1000 was donated to the Colorado House Rabbit Society as a result of pattern and booklet sales.

REVIEWS OF GLOVE KNITTING

"By the way, if you want to know more about knitting gloves, check out the booklet Nanette of Knitting in Color has put out, called Glove Knitting. She explains in much detail every aspect of well-fitting knitted gloves. She describes different kind of thumbs, finger tips, how to deal with holes between the fingers, and much more. Two patterns are included. The booklet is available in print and as a PDF, and Nanette donates a portion of the proceeds of the sale to a rabbit rescue society. What more could you ask for? Well, apart from a Dutch translation maybe..." Saartje Knits blog, July 24, 2007

"Nanette sent me her booklet for a personal review and I must say it was my pleasure, gloves are something I love to hate doing and this booklet gave me a little more confidence for the next project." Jasminta Kiosk, Knitting Editor, Craft Gossip web site, October 24, 2007.
