W5FC Repeater Webcast:
I also enjoy using the local 2 Meter and 70 cm repeaters while driving
around Dallas or when I'm walking the dogs around White Rock
Lake... "Mutt Mobile"... with the Yaesu VX5R
or VX6R.
My local repeater is W5FC - the Dallas Amateur Radio Club
(DARC) repeater - on 146.880MHz.I
have heard people put police scanners on the web, but never an Amateur
Radio Repeater. I thought it would be fun to try a Webcast. It was an
interesting learning process. At first I had the address hidden, so only
I could listen to the repeater while at work. Later I decided to allow
general use. Since there are a few seconds delay, you can even use it to
check your own signals into the repeater.

In days of old, when ops were bold and sidebands not invented
The word would pass by pounding brass, and all were well contented.
