Sweetwater Ranch offers training for the horse And Rider. Students
may learn on our wonderful lesson horses, or bring their own horse. Our lesson horses range in from calm quiet beginner
horses, like Sadie to advanced dressage horses - Spritz, a 4th level horse, and hunters capable of 3 foot courses - Cy.
Our students even compete at shows on our school horses, and frequently win.

New students must begin with at least one evaluation private
lesson. Riders must be able to groom and tack up their horse, and be in control at walk and trot before joining a group
lesson.
All lessons include instruction on safe horse handling skills,
including how to groom, saddle and bridle a horse.
Riding students MUST wear long pants, boots or shoes with
a heel, and a helmet. We have helmets to loan. Please, no floppy shirts or jackets.
HORSE TRAINING
Work includes
- Ground manners/handler respect,
- Tying, loading, clipping
- Balanced work under saddle - basic training, and specialization in dressage, hunters, western pleasure or
trails
- Balanced riding training for the owner
FULL TRAINING - $450/month + board costs
(total = $650/month in pipe corral)
- 5 training sessions/week which includes
- 2 private lessons for owner + 2 group lessons
- Showing/coaching
- transport to Sweetwater to start training (within 50 miles)
LITE TRAINING -$300/month + board costs
(total +$500/month in pipe corral)
- 3 training sessions/week which includes
- 1 private lesson for owner + 1 group lesson
- Showing/coaching
