As daylight falls back and prepares for its limited winter run, take solace in September and all its festival fun.
Fringe is in full swing, the Vancouver Film Festival kicks off Sept. 27 and, nestled right in the middle, is the Global
ComedyFest, which starts tonight at Lafflines with Grammy Award-winning comedian Tommy Chong.
This year's comedyfest spans 10 days and includes performances from Jon Lovitz and Darrell Hammond, two of Saturday Night
Live's most-loved cast members.
There's also the first annual "Baked Sale" at the Yale, Sept. 20. Olympic Gold medalist and second-hand THC aficionado
Ross Rebagliati hosts a night of hilarity featuring a bunch of comics telling jokes about marijuana.
But there's more in the comedy pot, so to speak: David Cross (Arrested Development), Bob Odenkirk, Graham Clark (sober
Graham or drunk Graham?), Todd Glass and many more.
ComedyFest runs from Sept. 13-22. Tickets are on sale now. Visit www.comedyfest.com for more info.
