My Body
O my God, thou who hast given me a body to keep pure and clean and healthy for thy service and my eternal happiness, forgive me for all my unfaithfulness in this great responsibility. Forgive me for every mean use which I have made of thy gifts in thought, word or deed since my rebirth as Thine own adopted child in Baptism and my registration as a soldier of Jesus on the day of my Confirmation.Prayer for Chaste Love and PurityCreate in me a clean heart, O God, and give me a steadfast will that I may be a strength to others around me. Teach me to reverence my body and the bodies of my fellow creatures. Help me to see the glory of perfect manhood in Jesus Christ and of perfect womanhood in Mary Immaculate. Inspire me with such love for the ideals for which our Savior lived and died, that all my passions and energies will be caught up into the enthusiasm of His service and evil things will lose their power. May my body be the servant of my soul, and may both body and soul be Thy servants, through Christ, our Lord. Amen. (1)
Father,For Those who Suffer Sexual Confusion
I pray that I can see myself as you see me.
Give me the strength and courage I need to accept myself and the values which I have learned
and which I believe have come from your hand.May a deep love of, respect for and service to others
be the source of any pleasure that I seek
or that is put before me.I would prefer not to be tested at all,
but I ask now for the gift to be open to your grace
when I am most in need of your strength and your love.I want to be mindful of all men and women
who struggle with the frustration and pain of superficial, physical pleasures.
I ask for humility,
that I may share my struggle and hope in You
and that I can support those who experience the same difficulties.Teach me your gentleness and your love.
With confidence,
I ask this through you Son, Jesus,
prompted by the guidance of your Holy Spirit.

Jesus, I don't want to yearn for the "good old days." But it must have been quite a bit different when you walked among us. Today there are so many voices screaming at us. "If it feels good, do it." "Why not, as long as I'm not hurting anyone?" The selfishness of sex, stripped of love, invites us to act as macho, gay, or hedonist. Your gift of sexuality as the great sign and symbol of love, is being cheapened.Blessing for a BedroomIt is all so confusing. I'm being pulled every which way. I know that to be human is to have tension. Just don't let me be pulled apart. And never let me forget that "Love is not self-seeking." (I Cor 13) Amen (3)

Beholding in thee a relic of the earthly paradise that was lost to man, purer and more spotless than the snowy splendor of mountain tops bathed in light, in that magnificent act of treading upon the proud head of the infernal serpent, the heavens exulted, earth was filled with joy and hell trembled with fear. With thee came the bright dawn of man's redemption from sin, and when the children of men, having for centuries anxiously scanned the horizon in expectation of a fairer day, raised their heads, they discovered thee on high like a radiant vision of paradise and saluted thee with a cry of holy enthusiam: "Thou art all fair, O Mary, and in thee there is no original stain."
At our feet, O Mary, the muddy torrent of lust did not halt, as it did before thine, that torrent still flows across the world and threatens continually to submerge our souls also. We bear about within us and perceive around us countless deadly incentives that cease not to urge us on to savor the foul pleasures of sensual passion. O good Mother, enfold us under thy mantle, protect us from the snares of the infernal enemy, renew in us our love of the angelic virtue, and grant that, by ever keeping vivid in our hearts the reflections of thy heavenly brightness, we may be able one day to sing to thee a hymn of love and glory in the world to come. O St. Joseph, guardian and father of virgins, into whose faithful custody was entrusted Innocence itself - Christ Jesus and Mary the Virgin of virgins - I pray and implore you through Jesus and Mary - those pledges so dear to you - to keep me from all uncleanness, and to grant that my mind may be untainted, my heart pure and my body chaste; help me ever to serve Jesus and Mary in perfect chastity.
