Apparitions and Miracles of the Lord Jesus Christ, Our God
Apparitions of the Mother of God and Ever-Virgin Mary
Some Internet sites promote apparitions which are not yet accepted by the Church. In loyalty to Mater Ecclesia, this web site only endorses private revelations which have received the approval of Church authorities. The following are links to official documents which present the Church's stance on some widely-reported alleged apparitions, along with other valuable information.
Garabandal update (Bishop Santander's November 1996 statement regarding this alleged apparition).
Notification on Vassula Ryden from the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, October 6, 1995
Congregation Communique on Private Revelations, November 29, 1996 (must roll page down a bit to get to it)
The Church has positively condemned the following two apparitions as false. Here are links to relevant Church documents.
Letter from Bishop Burke (Scanned as a gif; takes a while to download)
Declaration Concerning the "Bayside Movement" by Francis J. Mugavero, former Bishop of the Diocese of Brooklyn.
For a good summary of how the Church judges private revelations, see the Catholic Encyclopedia: Private Revelations.
