On October 4th 2006, the SP2 left my garage for the last time.  I was to deliver the car to Grimaldi Lines at the Santos-Brazil Vehicle Terminal in Guarujá.

I drove the car through the modern Imigrantes Highway on the way to Guarujá some 80Km due east from the city of São Paulo.

The Imigrantes Highway cuts through the Serra do Mar; a chain of mountains covered with a lush dense tropical forest called Mata Atlântica.  I couldn't help thinking that that luxurious scenery was a fitting background for the SP2's farewell to Brazil on its way to the Netherlands.

The pictures show the car in my garage, leaving the building, on the Imigrantes Highway, being washed near the docks, and at the Santos-Brazil terminal.
