MHS Class of ‘87 held its 15 Year "Impromptu" Reunion on August 3, 2002. It was a successful turnout! Approximately 100 were in attendance at the locale, The Sports Page in Granger, IN, and enjoyed DJ music, snacks (veggies, cheese and crackers and fresh fruits), and friendly conversation. Festivities began at 7:30 p.m. and concluded sometime after 2:00 a.m. Classmates as far away as California, Colorado, and Florida came as well as those from nearby Michigan.

In my duties as hostess/money collector/greeter, etc., I was able to talk with almost everyone in attendance (and know them by name!). My observations of my fellow classmates lead me to the conclusion that most of us looked the same, if not better, than the ‘ole high school days. Some have admitted to trying to grow old(er) gracefully, and some to growing less - much less - hair! (Guys, you know who you are!) Nonetheless, everyone looked happy, healthy, and glad for the night out away from where the normal pace life has lead us since graduation -- even if it was just for a small taste of our carefree days of high school.

Fifteen years. It's hard to believe we've been out of school for 15 years, have spouses and kids, and are living the American Dream, but I wouldn't change a thing. Would you? Email me with your reply, mailing (or emailing) address, and any suggestions for future events. Who knows? Maybe we can make this an annual event.
