This painting portrays a pair of Lesser Goldfinches enjoying the spring blossoms of an Almond tree.
This painting has recently been juried into the 2008 Birds in Art, annual international show at the Leigh-Yawkey Hudson Art museum in Wassau, Wisconsin, presenting the very best contemporary artistic interpretations of birds and related subject matter. Many of the best wildlife artists in the world will be participating in this show, and I am very excited and honored to be included.
