These next three pictures are with Hotckis front and rear spirngs. The rear are 1.5" drop, and they make the car sit good.
The front were 2" drop, but I don't think they droped the car at all, so I cut a coil off them and dropped the car another
2".

I believe this is the largest 17" tire/wheel combo you can fit on a first gen Camaro without any modifications.
18's should work fin with these backspacing also.
Front: 17x8 with 5.25" backspacing. Tire, 255/40 17.
Rear: 17x9.5 with 5.5" backspacing. Tire, 275/40 17.
