Pilot Knob. A mini hike part-way around Lake Lagunitas, then up the Pilot Knob Trail to lunch at the top. One short, steep climb. Back around the lake to the picnic area. Back by 2 pm. Tilden Park Inspiration Point. A pleasantly shaded hike up Wildcat Gorge and the Curran Trails to Inspiration Point for lunch, and visits to lookouts with views of the Bay on one side, San Pablo reservoir and Contra Costa on the other with Mount Diablo in the distance. Meet: 10:30 am at the Nature Area parking lot in Tilden Park. Directions: at the top of Spruce St in Berkeley, take Canon Dr (the only downhill in the intersection) down to the nature area.
