Why we do what we do.

Your M5 and 155 diorama are phenomenal, and they have made my father's year! My Dad is someone who always has something to say, but when we presented your diorama to him he was very quiet for a few moments, and then tried to say a few words but had to stop as his voice wavered and cracked. And he wasn't the only one there with a lump in his throat. After his emotions subsided he began to "hold court" with the family members and friends who were there to celebrate his 88th, and he talked at great length about some of his wartime experiences. Most of his stories were ones that I had not heard before, and I thought that I had heard them all. His face was so very animated, his eyes so bright, that he seemed to have become several years younger rather than another year older. He talked about their firing procedures in such incredible technical detail that someone commented about the 60 years that had passed and here he was reciting these procedures as if it were yesterday! And I noticed that he talked mostly about his fellow comrades-in-arms, and what good men they all were. I wish that more veterans could have the opportunity to feel what my Dad did upon seeing your work. Your craftsmanship is wonderful, and the extra details you provided to personalize the diorama were the reason for the look of awe on the faces of everyone as they took their turns examining it (which included the use of a magnifier)."
