February 4, 2013: Avanti 2.3 Released
Migration Specialties is pleased to announce the release of Avanti and FreeAXP 2.3. This release includes EV56, EV6, and EV67 instruction support and a tweak to accommodate Hyper-V users. Review the Virtual Alpha Release Notes and User Guide for details.
October 8, 2012: Avanti 2.2 Released
Migration Specialties is pleased to announce the release of Avanti 2.2. This release includes the 32-bit disk corruption fix that was released as FreeAXP 422. This patch applied to the 32-bit version of FreeAXP only. The problem did not impact 64-bit FreeAXP or Avanti. The big news for Avanti users is support for virtual tape devices and installing Avanti as a service under Windows. Review the Virtual Alpha Release Notes and User Guide for details.
October 5, 2012: Tru64 Porting Paper
Mohamed Saied of EZDK Company had a paper covering the port of a Tru64 UNIX system accepted at the ICET 2012 Conference. He used Avanti to successfully port the system. The paper covers the porting process. We have posted the paper on our web site with Mohamed's permission.
