Our destination was the home of Virginia's brother Bill and his wife Sue in Curwensville, PA (that's between the center of Pennsylvania and Pittsburgh, about an hour's drive north of State College, PA the home of Pennsylvania State University).

Mid October isn't too cold to barbeque in central Pennsylvania, although the Fall colors were ahead of southern New England, and we encountered snow that stuck to the ground at higher elevation on a trip from Curwensville to Saint Mary's (where Virginia's sister Jean's family lives)
