The cemetery in Szekeleyzsombor is on the way to the top of a hill where the ruins of an old fortress stand. The cemetery is primarily owned by the Lutheran church, although Unitarians can also pay to be buried there. The graves are well tended with living plants. |

Jobb Gita showed me around the fortress ruins. The fortress was built by the Szekeley people during (by Gita's estimate) the sixteenth century. Young people gather there on nights when there is a full moon. |
