What is Encryptix?

Encryptix is a freeware stand-alone application that encodes and decodes text, using the ROT13 algorithm. In simple terms, each letter is replaced with the 13th letter from it. When the letter Z is reached, counting resumes at the letter A. Spaces and punctuation are not altered. Text case (upper or lower case) is preserved when the encoding is performed.

Encryptix_120.zip (900,072 bytes)

You must un-install any previous version before installing the new one. You may receive a message say that not all the components could be removed. That's okay. The file containing your settings will remain. All other files should be removed. By retaining the settings file, the new version will be able to work as soon as you install it.

You must have the Visual Basic 5 Runtime Library to use Encryptix. Unless you're running an older operating system (like W95), you probably already have the necessary Visual Basic Runtime files installed on you PC.
