Looking for the Polysics uniform? Well, here it is.

Or you might find the nurse's uniforms more interesting.

Update on Saturday's Ruriiro post; I've found some interesting additions, but need to type up a folk tale or two. I will be turning the post into a page sometime this week. Those who have witnessed my typing skills will say I'm being optimistic.

Yone Noguchi, father of Isamu Noguchi, was the first Japanese national to publish poetry in English.

Yone Noguchi

The Japanese Night (1908)

The scented purple breezes of the Japanese night!
The old moon like a fairy ship of gold
Softly through the dream sea begins to rock on:
(I hear the unheard song of Beauty in the moon ship,
I even hear the whisper of her golden dress.)
The hundred lanterns burning in love and prayer,
Float on streets like haunting memories.
The silvery music of wooden clogs of the Japanese girls!
Are they not little ghosts out of the bosom of ancient age?
Are they returning to fulfill their thousand fancies forgotten?
O the fancy world of the Japanese night
Born out of the old love and unfulfilled desires!
The crying love song of the Japanese night,
The samisen music of hungry passion and tears!
O the long wail of heart through the darkness and love!

Go! Go! 7188, Video for Ruriiro (click "PV" on the lower right)

Project J has a nice page with lyrics to the above Ruriiro (Azure) and a sample of Aa Seishun.

I want to post some cultural notes for Ruriiro, but am unhappy with what I found on the web, so I'll work on it for Sunday night.

Read Rock of Japan's review of Dasoku Houkou (Crawl Like A Snake), Paul Wheeler is working on a Go! Go! 7188 page and I'll post when it is up.

Go! Go! 7188 live at Factory.

CD's available at Yes Asia or CD Japan.

Go! Go! 7188's bassist, Hamada Akko has released a CD called "Kirari" (Click on the third header at the top, then click on the bouncing note to hear samples).

"Hey Bob!" and "NEU" are now available domestically from Asian Man Records for $8.00 apiece.

"Despite this record's spazcore conviction-- the antithesis of traditional, hipster-defined "cool"-- Neu rages and rants in total style."
