Why did I create yet another Futurama fan site? Why?

Futurama is the first new show of the new century. It is cool and funny in a way that clearly originated with a member of my own generation. I had to raise a virtual monument in its honor.

I also noted that Futurama sites have begun to "404". This is natures way; people lose interest once production stops.

The series deserves a net presence. So I have stepped in with Mount Futurama.

It's a modest site. Our web space allotment is 10M, with no script privileges. I'd call it a medium bandwith site.

Within those limitations I have attempted to create a worthy tribute. I wont be able to accommodate the vast archives of material that can already be found on some magnificent web sites. But we can provide handy links to them, as long as they're still available. (and they'll have us!)

This site will be regularly maintained. I'll check it regularly for functionality, tweak it when necessary, expand when possible, and deal with changing links. As for updates, well, unless there is a film, or the series production is resumed, the only things about Futurama that will change are the scheduling of re-runs and dvd availability.

It warmed my heart when Futurama's Adult Swim running mate Family Guy went back into production. It inflamed my jealousy when Futurama did not.
