At the heart of Futurama is Fry, late twentieth century man propelled into the year 3000.
While Fry was engaged in his duties as pizza delivery boy on New Years' Eve, 1999, he was accidentally thrown into 1000 years of cryogenic stasis. His first day in the world of the future found him first on the run from Leela then allied with Leela and Bender. By the end of the Day the newly assembled Planet Express crew was aboard the Planet Express Ship, escaping at the stroke of midnight from Nixon's Head and its fascist cop bots..
Fry is a reasonably hale young human and has enjoyed recreational mating with a number of females including Planet Express intern Amy Wong, Career Bureaucrat Morgan Proctor, several of the Amazon Women of Amazonia , a robotic Lucy Liu and possibly Mermaid heiress Umbriel. He does seem to be perpetually frustrated in his pursuit of romance with the Humanoid Mutant Turonga Leela.
