Biblical and Apocryphal

Have respect unto the covenant, for the dark places of the Earth are full of the habitations of cruelty.

--Psalm 74:20

Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.

--Exodus 20:4

Also the angels who kept not their first estate, but left their proper habitation, he has reserved to everlasting chains, under darkness, to the judgment of the great day. Likewise Sodom and Gomorrah, and the cities around them, which, after their example, had habitually committed uncleanness, and gone after other flesh, are set forth an example, suffering the punishment of an eternal fire.

--Jude 1:6

And against the angels whom He had sent upon the earth, He was exceedingly wroth, and He gave commandment to root them out of all their dominion, and He bade us to bind them in the depths of the earth, and
7 behold they are bound in the midst of them, and are (kept) separate. And against their sons went forth a command from before His face that they should be smitten with the sword, and be removed
8 from under heaven. And He said 'My spirit shall not always abide on man; for they also are flesh 9 and their days shall be one hundred and twenty years'. And He sent His sword into their midst that each should slay his neighbour, and they began to slay each other till they all fell by the sword
10 and were destroyed from the earth. And their fathers were witnesses (of their destruction), and after this they were bound in the depths of the earth for ever, until the day of the great condemnation, when judgment is executed on all those who have corrupted their ways and their works before 11 the Lord.

--The Book of Jubilees: Chapter 5

"And I measured out the whole earth, its mountains, and all hills, fields, trees, stones, rivers, all existing things I wrote down, the height from earth to the seventh heaven, and downwards to the very lowest hell, and the judgment-place, and the very great, open and weeping hell".

--The Apocryphal Book of Enoch, Chapter XL, Verse 9

"No man in heaven, in earth, neither under the earth was able to open the book, nor look thereon."

--Rev. 5:13.

"That at the name of Jesus every knee shall bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;"

--Philippians 2:10.

"For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth."

--Matthew 12:40

18 For Christ also suffered once for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive by the Spirit,
Ê19 by whom also He went and preached to the spirits in prison (i.e., the Nephilim fathers of the pre-flood giants),
Ê20 who formerly were disobedient, when once the Divine longsuffering waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was being prepared, in which a few, that is, eight souls, were saved through water.

--1 Peter 3

19 For thus saith the Lord GOD: When I shall make thee a desolate city, like the cities that are not inhabited; when I shall bring up the deep upon thee, and great waters shall cover thee;
20 When I shall bring thee down with them that descend into the pit, with the PEOPLE OF OLD TIME, and shall set thee in THE LOW PARTS OF THE EARTH, in places desolate of old, with them that go down to the pit, that thou be not inhabited; and I shall set glory in the land of the living;
21 I will make thee a terror, and thou shalt be no more; though thou be sought for, yet shalt thou never be found again, saith the lord GOD.

--Ezekiel 26, 19-21
