There was a time, a once-upon-a-time sort of a time, when I worked a great deal in graphite (that's pencils, to the non-artsy types out there). Below are just a few low-resolution examples:

The image below is a representation of the "Unseelie Court," the evil aerial faeries of Scottish folklore. Some unfortunates were believed to have been abducted upon occasion by this band of mischevious malificents, to undergo a night of terror, before being returned to bed or gutter at daybreak. Some interesting parallels with the modern "UFO abduction" phenomena exist here.
