Welcome and Blessings to all who visit. My name is Kathy and I hope
you will take the time to get to know me and perhaps you will let me get
to know you by leaving a message in my guestbook.
I am a mother of 4 (2 boys, 2 girls) and have been married for 27 yrs.
My oldest is 24 and is in the Marine Corp stationed in North Carolina.
My others are ages 21, 19, and 16. I also have 3 dogs (a Pembroke Corgi,
Cardigan Corgi, and a Pomeranian) and a pot belly pig. I work as an assistant
for a cable company and work with some really wonderful people. I love
doing crafts, gardening, and ceramics. I'm also about to become a grandmother.
I began walking my path several yrs ago. I didn't seek it, it just
happened. For many yrs I had been restless and knew there was more to everything
than what traditional religion teaches. I wanted to know about death and
the here-after, not because I was morbid, but because I was curious. Religion
taught me that death was something to fear because that was when you sat
in judgment and were punished for everything you did during life. I also
wanted to know why there were so many religions and why they all thought
that their way was the only way to God. They all shared a common bond and
that was their belief in a higher source, no matter what name they called
him/her. It wasn't till a close friend gave me a book by Betty E. Eadie
called "Embraced by the Light" that started me searching for more answers
and that is when I began my spiritual journey. The more answers I found,
the more questions I had. But I did learn one important thing, the answers
exist in all of us if we look within ourselves. I look at things very differently
now and my beliefs keep getting tested such as when both my parents died,
my son was battling drug abuse, etc. But I have learned that things I thought
were important were no longer important. I began looking at my surroundings
differently. I have finally learned how to stop and smell the roses, to
enjoy a beautiful sunset, the moon, trees, birds, etc. Things I use to
take for granted, I no longer do. I still have a long ways to go, but I
know I am on the right path. Each of you will find the path right for you.
I also touch on a subject that many do not like to talk about. I began
my path when I was searching for answers about "death". The more I learned
about "death", the more I learned about "life". I found it was not something
to fear. Death is another form of life as our soul makes the transition
from our physical bodies to our spiritual beings. I also discuss a wonderful
group of people known as Hospice workers who help people and families through
a very difficult time. I hope you will stop by my Hospice site and learn
more about these wonderful people. They helped me alot when both my parents
were dying of cancer at the same time. I believe when we learn about "death"
we learn more about life. If we can rid ourselves of the fear, then maybe
no one will have to die alone.
I am interested in many things such as the environment, what we can
do to keep our planet clean and renew her. Earth is home to all of us and
we all share it and need to take responsibility for taking of "her". If
we do not take care of her, we will lose much that we take for granted
and will have destroyed her for our children. What happens in one part
of the world, does effect us for we all are connected in some way.
I have always been fascinated with History and have studied other cultures.
I think this is in part due to being an "army brat" and living in Europe
and learning their cultures and beliefs. In the process, I have learned
that many of our beliefs are very similar. When we learn to respect other's
beliefs, then we honor our own. We all want the same thing, Peace and this
can only be achieved through tolerance of others and learning to live together
for we all share the same home; Earth.
I hope you will also visit my dedication to "Earth Angels". These are
people who are not saints but I feel they have touched others in a positive
way. Some you may know and others you won't know, but each has had a positive
effect on people. We are all Angels with one wing who need each other to
fly. I hope you will do something for another today even if it's only a
smile.
Journeying on your path is a continuing process in which you learn
many things, some of which you will follow and others you won't but every
thing helps you learn more in order to seek your path. We are each part
of the web of life and what one person does will effect others even if
it doesn't happen immediately. We all have to seek the truth and answers
within ourselves.
I hope you will take the time to sign my guestbook (on the homepage)
or email me and tell me something about yourself. I would love to learn
about the people who stop by for a visit and I do hope you will come back
again for a visit. I always have tea and coffee brewing.
