Earthangels
Have you ever met someone who just lit up a room by their smile? A person who gave of their time unselfishly without expecting anything in return? A person who seems to touch others in a positive way just by a simple kind word or deed? These people are what I call "EarthAngels". Many of them are not famous people, but they are people who genuinely care about others. I do make a difference between those who really care and those who act like they care just so they can get recognition and they think they are "buying" their way into Heaven. You know the difference also. Say for instance you donate a car to charity, but you only do so after consulting with your accountant and making sure you get a great tax break first. Then when you do so, you make sure everyone knows you did. The deed was not done out of the kindness of your heart, but because it benefited you. Now if you donated the car first and didn't worry what kind of tax break you got and did not ask for recognition, then I would say you are an "EarthAngel".
There are many EarthAngels out there and we meet them everyday. They can be a co-worker, a friend, a family member, a stranger, or someone well-known. The important thing is "Are you one of them?" You don't have to donate a car, alot of money, or be famous to be one. A simple kind deed, word, or even a smile will do. Everyday we touch other lives but do we do it in a positive way? What we do does effect others, so why not make it effect them in a positive way instead of a negative way.
I'd like to share this with you and you will know how each action
does effect others.
SMILE!!!!!
She smiled at a sorrowful stranger.
The smile seemed to make him feel better.
He remembered past kindnesses of a friend
And wrote him a thank you letter.
The friend was so pleased with the thank you
That he left a large tip after lunch.
The waitress, surprised by the size of the tip,
Bet the whole thing on a hunch.
The next day she picked up her winnings,
And gave part to a man on the street.
The man on the street was grateful;
For two days he'd had nothing to eat.
On the way he picked up a shivering puppy
And took him home to get warm.
The puppy was very grateful
To be in out of the storm.
That night the house caught on fire.
The puppy barked the alarm.
He barked till he woke the whole household
And saved everybody from harm.
One of the boys that he rescued
Grew up to be President.
All this because of a simple smile
That hadn't cost a cent.

I'd like to share a few of the people I deem as "EarthAngels" with you. I hope you will enjoy their stories and maybe you will remember to be an "EarthAngel" for someone else. If we all let our light shine, the world would truly be a brighter place but it has to start somewhere, even if it's only a flicker of light. It's like tossing a pebble in a pond. At first you see tiny ripples, but as they spread out, they become much larger. Be that pebble and let your ripple spread.

There are many more out there but I did want to share a few with
you and how they touch lives in a special way. I had a few others but they
have since left this world, but while they were here they touched many
and left a mark in the hearts they left behind. Princess Diana, Mother
Theresa, and my mother are just among the few. They were like pebbles being
tossed into a pond and their ripples spread to many. All who have been
touched by them will remember them and keep their light shining.
