GBM Poco Jolena - foaled -3/08 at 530 am.. a beautiful solid black based bay filly with some dun factor -
leg barring and shoulder smudging, along with a heavy partial dorsal - we feel certain that many of these
factors will be hidden as she matures; however she may be a bay dun. Her dam is a black based bay out of two buckskins,
with a perlino and a buckskin as full siblings..
Jolena has a beautiful blaze, four black hoofs, lots of bone, a solid
hip, great topline and undergirth - just a nice solid well built conformationally correct filly - string test shows
that she should mature at 15 - possibly - 15.1 hands with a superior build and mind. Her dam has
an incredible floating trot to her, so this little filly is a wonderful ranch versatility candidate - rope,
pen, barrels, 4-H, trails, sort - and might even do WP or HUS.
Jolena's pedigree includes such names as:
Sugar Bars (appears
twice in her lineage) (x Three Bars and Frontera Sugar,
a mare who is 100% NFQHA and produced two exceptional stallions in her short lifetime )- Three Bars of course in one
of the most influential foundation sires on the creation of quarter horses; Sugar Bars is in the AQHA Hall
of Fame, and was one of the most influential sons of Three Bars, and is still a preferred pedigree inclusion for serious
rope horse breeders and owners); Tyrees Watch (x Watch Joe Jack and Beau Bar Mujer)
- Tyrees Watch was the sire of 22 performance winners with a total of 524.5 performance points, world champions with
several ROMs in heading, heeling, and breakaway); Docs Prescription - twice on her
fourth - (H-9, P-16, AQHA Champ, ROM Arena, NCHA money earner. 2nd 1987 AQHA Leading Perf. Sires List);
and Freckle's Playboy, (P-25
ACHIEVEMENTS: World Champion(1977), Top Ten World Show(1978), NRHA money-earner($39), NCHA money-earner($59,976), ROM Performance(1978),
Performance Point Earner(25)) on his or her fourth.
What a performance
pedigree, which also includes Gold Lena, Doc Olena, Gay Jay, Rey Jay, Two Eyed Jack, Coy's Bonanza, Wimpy,
Jessie James, Poco Bueno, etc...,.
Jolena is APHA and ARHA registerable and already sweet - take a look at
that bone and hip. She may not have a fancy buckskin color, but this is one well build filly!
SOLD to Kristin A of Maryland - she is going to love you - and you are going to love her.. Congratulations and
thank you so much!
